無線LAN機能を搭載したSDカード Eye-Fi のデスクトップ用アプリケーションであるEye-Fi Centerが2010年6月9日にバージョン3.1.9になっています。
Eye-Fi Helperを起動すれば自動的にバージョンをチェックして、古い場合にはバージョンアップを促してくれます。当然バージョンアップは無料ですし、再起動も不要です。
バージョンアップ後のEye-Fi Centerで明らかにインタフェースを見て変化に気がつくのは、旧バージョンではEye-Fiカード設定画面の一つのタブとして存在していた「アカウント設定」が独立した事。
一つのEye-Fiアカウントで複数のEye-Fiカードを管理している状況を考えれば、この方が使いやすい事は明らかです。今までの場合はアカウントの設定内容を変更する場合に、いずれかのEye-Fiカードの設定画面を表示する必要がありましたが、バージョン3.1.9からはEye-Fi Centerのメニューに「アカウント情報」が追加されています。
