2011年5月4日、Air Video Appがバージョン2.4.7へ更新されています。
バージョン2.4.5からiOS 4.3と連携してAir Playに対応していますが、今回のバージョン2.4.7ではAir Play機能をさらに拡張してバックグラウンド動作時にもAir Play再生に対応しているとの事です。
変更内容は以下の通り。
Improved TV Out Support
Playback over Air Play in background (note that Air Play requires iOS 4.3 update and the latest Air Video Server BETA version, which is not yet pushed through automatic updates)
Fixed but with video zoom for certain aspect ratios
今すぐApple TV (2G)が使えないのですぐ試せないのが残念ですが、Air Play再生の為には自動配信されていないベータ版のAir Video Serverを使用する必要があります。ベータ版は こちら から入手する事が可能です。
ちなみに今朝このアップデートをiPadとiPhone上のApp Storeで見ていたのですが、そのタイミングではまだiTunesのApp Storeではバージョン2.4.6が最新版として表示されていました。同じApp Storeのはずなのにちょっと不思議な感じです。
