2012年8月23日、AppleからMountain Lion向けのマイナーアップデート 10.8.1 がリリースされています。
最近あまりにも忙しくて週末に久しぶりにMacBook Airを起動してみたらApp StoreのアップデートにOS X Update 10.8.1が登場していました。
Mountain Lionからソフトウェア・アップデートがMac App Storeに統合されていますので、ダウンロードおよびインストールはMac App Storeから、適用はOS Xの再起動が必要となります。
変更内容は以下の通り。（英語版と日本語版で変更内容の表示に違いがあるのが不思議です。最後2つの修正内容は英語には表示されますが、日本語環境では表示されませんでした）

このアップデートではオペレーティングシステムの一般的な問題が修正されており、適用することによりお使いの Mac の安定性と互換性が向上します。10.8.1 アップデートでは、ほかにも以下の問題が修正されています：

ロングネームで SMB サーバに接続する際の問題を修正- Address a issue that may prevent Safari from launching when using a Proxy Automatic Configuration (PAC) file
Proxy Automatic Configuration (PAC)ファイルを使用した際にSafariが起動しなくなる問題の修正- Improve 802.1X authentication with Active Directory credentials.
